We are seeking to appoint a Research Fellow to work with Prof. Adrian Smith on a research project on social innovation, hackerspaces and FabLabs. The position involves contributing some specific research to a European Union Framework 7 research project called TRANSIT: Transformative Social Innovation Theory. The specific duty with this post is to develop and undertake an international survey of FabLabs and Hackerspaces consistent with the requirements of the wider project, and according to the project timetable. Results to the survey will be fed into a project database. Responses to the survey will also be analysed and reported. It is the duty of the post holder to complete all these activities to a high standard. They will also be expected to write blogs and peer-reviewed article according with the more general responsibilities above.
